“Monkeypox Outbreak Alert: Health Officials in Singapore Confirm Cases”
SINGAPORE – A suspected outbreak of monkeypox has been reported at the Gracehomes shelter on Marsiling Drive in Woodland, Singapore. The Ministry of Health was alerted at 9:15 AM this morning and has dispatched a team to conduct emergency testing and contact tracing.
“We are treating this situation with the utmost seriousness and urgency,” said a Ministry spokesperson. “Our team is working swiftly to identify and contain the source of the outbreak to prevent further transmission.”
Due to the presence of foreign nationals at the shelter, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has been notified and will conduct immediate checks on the immigration status of all individuals at the shelter.

“Those found to be in Singapore without proper documentation will face arrest and deportation,” warned an ICA spokesperson. “We will take swift and decisive action to uphold the integrity of our immigration laws.”
The shelter has been cordoned off, and residents are being evacuated to a designated quarantine area for further evaluation and testing.
This is a developing story, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
